Craigmore takes the safety and welfare of its employees very seriously. Similarly, we value the wellbeing of visitors to our farms, orchards, vineyards and forestry sites. We have a duty under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 to warn authorised visitors of any work related, out of the ordinary hazards, that may cause them serious harm.
For New Zealand emergency services
Suitable stout footwear, warm and waterproof clothing and a sunhat will be required for all property visits as quite a bit of time will be spent outside. The ground could be wet and uneven, and the weather can be unpredictable, so be prepared for all conditions (rain and sun). We will provide sunblock.
In the interests of your own safety and for those working on our properties, we ask you to be responsible and read the points below. A full on-site briefing will also be held when we arrive at the property.
Earthquakes
While in New Zealand it might be possible to experience some seismic activity. The hotels and venues will have staff who are well prepared for any emergency and evacuation plans in case of earthquake or other event. It is important to follow their instructions at all times.
In the event of an earthquake it helps to be prepared. Remember: Drop, Cover, Hold. It stops you being knocked over, makes you a smalller target for falling and flying objects, and protects your head, neck and vital organs.

Illness
While COVID-19 restrictions have been removed, recommendations remain in place and care should be taken while travelling in New Zealand to ensure you stay well during your visit. If you develop COVID-19 symptoms please take a test and get in touch with Che or Nick so we can support you.
